Hello, readers and friends!
As the Stardust Press team prepares for our official launch on August 5th, I wanted to use the next few weeks to introduce our resident authors and the speculative fiction serials they’ll be publishing here.
If you’re new to this newsletter, I suggest reading our introduction. You can also find our release schedule and learn about our community-building efforts here.
With that out of the way, let’s meet Stardust Press’s very first cohort of speculative fiction authors!
Keyon Hejazi
Keyon Hejazi is a Persian fantasy author and Stardust Press’s founding editor-in-chief. He wrote professionally for several years before ultimately burning out and moving to a less demanding field. Ironically, leaving the industry has led him to write more than ever. Now, however, he only writes what he’s passionate about, which tends to be set in Iran’s mythic era. Beyond his writing life, Keyon is a soon-to-be husband, endurance runner, tea lover, and Behdin.
Keyon’s upcoming resident serial, Serai, is a Persian monster-of-the-month adventure. More information to come!
Maximilian P Siddell
Maximilian P Siddell is a market gardener and fantasy enthusiast. He's studied environmental science, worked in ecosystem conservation, and wandered his home country of New Zealand with nothing but a backpack and a cheap pair of shoes. He’s dabbled in writing fiction for almost as long as he can remember. A few years ago, he decided to see what would happen if he tried taking it a little more seriously. If nothing else, it's proven to be a good outlet for all the nonsense in his head. His body of work can be found here.
Maximilian’s upcoming resident serial, The Song of E’a, is an epic fantasy adventure. More information to come!
Remus Noronha
Remus Noronha is an author, editor, and journalist who has worked extensively in entertainment journalism. His first love, however, is writing stories of fantasy, mystery, and science fiction inspired by genre classics. Remus is the author of the novel Once Upon a Time in Hyperspace and is currently publishing an ongoing detective mystery serial, The Accursed Adventures of Thorfinn Grimm, which is available on his Substack.
Remus’s upcoming resident serial, The Exham Project, is a sci-fi horror procedural. More information to come!
Leanne Shawler
Leanne Shawler is a writer and artist. She loves to paint abstract art, make collages, and create endless other things that bring her joy. She is the author of Dangerous To Know and Touched By Time. Her Substack, The Môrdreigiau Chronicles, is an alternate history romantasy with sea dragons. The chronicles are a transcription of texts that she’s “found” in her attic. (Spoiler: she makes the diaries herself.)
Leanne’s upcoming resident serial, Hiraeth, is a romantasy odyssey. More information to come!
Come August, Stardust Press will start releasing self-contained episodes of each of our resident authors’ respective serials. You can view our release schedule for more information. In the weeks leading up to then, we’ll be sending out brief synopses of each one.
Soon after our official launch, we’ll also be calling for submissions for our very first short story showcase. We hope you’ll consider participating in this and everything else we have planned for you!
Now that we’ve thoroughly indulged ourselves, we’d love to get to know you. We want this community to be a two-way street, so please don’t hesitate to introduce yourselves (and your own work, if applicable) in the comments below.
Happy reading, everyone!
Thanks for the introduction. That is an impressive group and such diversity in Speculative Fiction.
You've collected a talented group! I look forward to your August launch!
